The Federation
The World Ability Federation is an accredited
501(c)3 not for profit corporation.
Through our programs, the World Ability Federation directly affects the expansion of the World Ability Industry, an industry pledged to ensure that an individual's disability will never mean more than their ability. The contribution of all people, regardless of their different abilities, will be recognized and valued.
Our Mission
To inspire the creation of new abilities and opportunities and improve the quality of life for people who have a disability by offering educational programs, public awareness campaigns, creation of a resource and reference library, employment assistance and by providing scholarships, grants and fellowships for academic excellence.
Our Programs
The World Ability Federation is chartered to provide
- Programs to educate the public on issues faced by people who have a disability
- Conduct public awareness programs that inform, recognize and acknowledge those individuals and organizations that create new abilities for people who have a disability
- Provide educational and other programs that encourage the employment of those who have a disability
- Conduct nonpartisan research pertaining to the special needs of people with a disability
- Provide research and information to foundations and corporate giving programs about the needs of organizations that serve or advocate for people with disabilities
- Offer programs to encourage students to pursue careers in fields that will help overcome disabilities
- Produce information to help remove the negative stigmatization often associated with disabilities
- Encourage through programs of public awareness an improvement in the quality of life for those individuals who have a disability.
