Cochlear Americas

Cochlear is the world leader in cochlear implants, the breakthrough technology that has enabled tens of thousands of severely hearing impaired people to hear.

The company was formed in 1982 to build on the unique work of Australian Professor Graeme Clark, founder of the multi-channel implant.

Today Cochlear is a publicly listed company on the Australian Stock Exchange and sells its Nucleus cochlear implant system in more than 70 countries.

Supporting over 50,000 Nucleus recipients, Cochlear, continues to lead the way in innovation. Its research program is extensive with the company participating in more than 90 collaborative research programs with university and research hospitals in more than 35 countries.

Cochlear research efforts are closely linked to those of the Bionic Ear Institute, University of Melbourne and the Cooperative Research Centre for Cochlear Implants and Hearing Innovation.

Cochlear continues to expand its export base throughout the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

Cochlear Americas is a proud sponsor of the New Ability Awards Gala.
