2004 Archives

The year 2004 was a year of building for the World Ability Federation. We worked hard to outline the programs that will have the most real impact of people with disabilities. We travelled around the country and met hundreds of individuals and organizations to learn what are the areas that need the most help. We discovered a multitude of inspiring and impactful programs that are already in the works...but lack the necessary human and financial resources. We also learned that getting the word out is another great hurdle in this industry. Our programs directly address these issues. The world ability industry is alive and strong. An explosive breakthrough is inevitable in the next few years.
This year, we sucessfully hosted the 2004 World Ability Awards Gala in the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier in Chicago. The gala is gaining recognition from the scientific community, from governmental agencies, from corporate America, from grass root organizations, and from Hollywood. This is an event whose time has come.
