Michael Young, Axiom Resource Management

Mr. Young is a Team Leader in the Accessibility Services Division of Axiom Resource Management, Inc (www.axiom-rm.com).  Mr. Young has an extensive background in assistive technology, accessibility, and educational services.  For the past five years, he has served as the manager of a Federal agency’s assistive technology demonstration and assessment center.  In this capacity, he conducts needs assessments for individuals with disabilities, reviews work and learning environments, provides integration and configuration management, develops and conducts assistive technology presentations and training sessions, and welcomes employees, managers, and high-level VIPs to the center.   He collaborates with other assistive technology service providers in the Federal government to ensure continuity of services and to share best practices.  Mr. Young closely supports the Federal agency’s Wounded Service Member initiative through the provision of individual needs assessments for wounded warriors and information on employment supports available through the Federal agency’s centrally-funded accommodations program. 

Mr. Young earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Southwest Missouri State University.  He maintains accreditation as an Assistive Technology Provider by the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America.
