World Ability Day - US Cellular Field
3rd Annual World Ability Day
July 4, 2006
The World Ability Federation, NFP in cooperation with the 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox present the third annual World Ability Day at US Cellular Field in Chicago on July 4, 2006.
Over 100 supporters of the World Ability Federation will decend on US Cellular Field to support yet another year of celebration of individuals "ability" rather than disability.
In previous year's of this spectacular event, the World Ability Federation and the Chicago White Sox have arranged for individuals with disabilities to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. In 2004, Kim Peek, "the real Rainman", tossed out the pitch, and in 2005, David Bigoney, threw a pitch to Joe Crede. This may have been the first time in history that the ceremonial first pitch was throw by an individual who was blind.
This year we are humbled and pleased to again work with the Chicago White Sox as they celebrate their World Championship season and simultaneously continue to support people with disabilities.
See you on the 4th of July!!
