The Empathy Challenge...in Chicago!
November 4, 2006

McCormick Tribune Foundation, World Ability Federation, CLTV Kids Charities, Chicago Area Runners Association, Catingy

The World Ability Federation, NFP has partnered with the McCormick Tribune Foundation and the Chicago Area Runner's Association (CARA) and CLTV Kids Charities to add a new dimension to the annual Cantigny Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk 2006.

Participants, this year, will have the option to experience running as they may never have experienced it before... without sight! During this unique challenge, runners will have the option to run/walk half of the 5K blindfolded and the other half without blindfold acting as a guide for the blindfolded walkers/runners. Empathy Challenge participants will start their run from the start line at 9:10 AM, exactly ten (10) minutes after the 5K Run/Walk. At the end of their run the participants will subtract 10 minutes from their finish time to calculate their official time.
